I have always dabbled in writing but never had the guts to truly pursue it. That changed last year, when life unexpectedly forced me to slow down. During that time, I turned to writing. What began as one short story, became two, then five, and before I knew it, I had built a small, dark, twisted collection.

I paired each story with my own hand drawn illustrations, and together they became a collection with real potential which I call, 5 Minutes Till Midnight.
A Midnight Snack is making its debut as Volume 1 of the 3 part series. The other Volumes will be available for purchase at a later date.

I grew up on Stephen King, Goosebumps, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and Twilight Zone. If you’re looking for some tales inspired by the above, then these unsettling quick reads will be right up your alley. Stop and have a bite!

A Midnight Snack- On Sale Now!
A Midnight Snack is a collection of dark short stories. Some are haunting, others carry a touch of dark humor, but each one is meant to leave you unsettled. Every tale offers an eerie moment, a creeping sense of dread, or a twist you may not see coming.
Inspired by the haunting illustrations of Stephen Gammel from Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and the eerie storytelling of Rod’s Serling’s classic series, The Twilight Zone.

Written and illustrated by Long Island artist, Jennifer Bardram, each story is paired with haunting original artwork.

Inside this collection, you’ll find:

-
Twilight-Zone style twist endings
-
Supernatural encounters
-
Psychological horror
-
Original hand drawn illustrations for each story
-
Quick reads perfect for late-night reading
In A Midnight Snack, ordinary moments slip sideways into catastrophe. A private confession becomes irreversible. A familiar place turns dangerous. A single realization arrives just a moment too late.
These selected short horror stories explore grief, inevitability, memory, and the thin cracks where reality gives way. Some are surreal. Others are painfully realistic. All are meant to leave you unnerved.
This is only a taste of what waits in the full collection, 5 Minutes til Midnight.

“Later that night, laying in bed, Pete had a horrible nightmare. In his dream, he lay in the bed of the guest room, only it was daylight.

The door opened and a small child ran into the room, a boy no older than five. His small hands tore at the wallpaper, scratching furiously, again and again. As the brittle paper tore away, something emerged from underneath. Not a word, but a name.”
