ABOUT…

Jennifer Bardram is a local artist from Long Island, New York, best known for her bold, hand-burned woodwork and vibrant digital art.
Working under the pseudo name “The Snarky Pyro,” she is the creative force behind J33 Art Studios Inc. making art into visual stories that spark connection, curiosity and reflection.
My Story…
Art has been my passion for as long as I can remember. It all started with a five year old girl and Mickey Mouse. I carefully learned to draw his face line by line until my drawing somewhat resembled the famous mouse. Once I started, I was hooked and have been drawing ever since.
Over the years that childhood curiosity grew into a lifelong exploration of different mediums. I currently work with wood burning, drawing, painting, and digital illustration. I’m always experimenting and pushing myself to try new techniques and ideas, even mixing mediums together. I lenjoy not having rules when it comes to creating art and stepping outside of my comfort zone to see where it leads.
Working by the water, has naturally influenced much of my art. Natural elements and marine life often find their way into my pieces, reflecting the environment that surrounds my every day.
At the same time, I am drawn to contrasts within my work. I enjoy exploring imagery that balances beauty with something slightly darker or unexpected. Delicate details may exist alongside symbols of decay, mystery, or tension. Even within my line work, I like to pair bold with fine lines. For me, those contrasts make a piece feel more alive and more honest. Much like my writing, I enjoy creating an atmosphere one can immerse themselves in.

Whether it’s burning an image into wood, sketching with a pencil (real or apple), writing a story, or using paint for expression, I love to create work which invites people to pause, look closer, and discover something that resonates within them.

If it’s stirring a thought or invoking an emotion from within, then I’m doing my job. That’s what art’s all about, isn’t it?
